Terry Miller came to prominence when, as part of the team guided by Gary Rhodes,
he won ITV’S Hells Kitchen in 2005. He is a larger than life Chef whose character is firmly embedded in
his Newcastle roots. As a result of his victory on the popular reality show, Terry has become a much
sought after personality for live cooking demonstrations in his native north east but his talents are
crying out for national recognition.
As the fourth of six brothers Terry came into the world in 1958 Newcastle and has lived in his beloved
city ever since. Life was never easy for the young Terry but he battled against the odds to become a
gourmet chef and opened his ‘Rockafella’ restaurant in the shadow of Newcastle upon Tyne’s St. Nicholas
Cathedral through the £250,000 first prize on Hells Kitchen.
This is a ‘what you see is what you get’ man who speaks his mind without fear or favour, particularly
in the kitchen. This is borne out by his autobiography, ‘Geordiefella, Road to Hell’, a gritty, candid
description of Terry’s life to date.
